About Us
Meet Dr. Cotton

Dr. Cotton was raised in Wharton, Texas and graduated Valedictorian from Boling High School. He continued his education at Texas A&M University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science in 2002. Following college, Dr. Cotton enrolled into dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and graduated first in his class with a D.D.S. degree. Staying in San Antonio, he received his Certificate in Endodontics from the Graduate Endodontic Program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Because education is a high priority to Dr. Cotton, he challenged himself and achieved board certification in Endodontics. The board certification process is lengthy, and of the several thousand Endodontists in the United States, approximately 20% are a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.

Meet Dr. Hale

Dr. Hale is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, and he began his academic journey at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he attained a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. Returning to his hometown, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Las Vegas Nevada School of Dental Medicine. His passion for specialization led him to complete advanced training in endodontics at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. During his tenure as Chief Resident, Dr. Hale co-authored influential research on the healing rates of various endodontic systems and rotary techniques. More recently, Dr. Hale practiced endodontics at a private practice in the Dallas area. He takes pride in dismantling the misconceptions around procedures like root canals, striving to ensure that every patient understands that these treatments are nothing to fear. His approach mirrors the care and attention he would provide to his own family.

Our office revolves around you, the patient

First and foremost, we believe that people should have their own healthy teeth for an entire lifetime. It is now clear from both the medical and dental literature that dental health affects all facets of a person's physical and emotional well being. The primary goal of root canal treatment is the elimination of infection.

Your concerns are our concerns, and your comfort is our top priority. We act as part of a team with your family dentist and other specialists to provide the best possible care. We take pride in the fact that we are a state-of-the-art practice. Through our treatment, we blend the most current techniques and materials with the more traditional methods that have withstood the test of time.

If you are interested in reducing your anxiety during the procedure, please let us know so we can schedule you appropriately. We offer both nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation. Nitrous oxide or "laughing gas" can provide you with reduced anxiety and its quick recovery time allows patients to drive themselves to and from the appointment. Oral conscious sedation consists of an oral medication that is taken to reduce anxiety. Most patients sleep through the procedure and even the most nervous patients are usually comfortable. For oral conscious sedation, we will need to see you for a consultation where we will review your medical history and prescribe the medication. You will need someone to drive you to and from the appointment on the day of the procedure.
